Back in the water.
On your terms.
Private 1:1 with an instructor. Half a day. One skills session, two real dives. You leave ready for the boat tomorrow.
You might need this if…
You don't lose your certification. You do lose sharpness. These are the six signs it's time for a refresher.
- Your last dive was more than a year ago
- You feel nervous about getting back in the water
- You're not sure you remember how to clear your mask or share air
- You're on holiday and want to join a boat trip but feel rusty
- You were certified years ago but barely dove after the course
- You just want to feel sharp and confident before diving with others
The session, step by step.
Every refresher is different because every diver is different. Here's the structure — the pace is always yours.
A real conversation — not a checklist.
We start with a proper sit-down. Your instructor wants to know when you last dived, what you remember, what you're unsure about, and what you'd like to do after the refresher. This isn't a form to fill in — it's the foundation for everything that follows. We build the session around you, not around a standard syllabus.
Equipment assembly and buddy check.
We go through tank setup, BCD connection, regulator rigging, and a full pre-dive check — together, step by step. No rush, no assumption that you remember. By the end you'll assemble your own kit confidently and know exactly what to look for in a buddy check.
Skills in a safe, controlled space.
In waist-deep water — before you even go under — we walk through buoyancy control, hovering, regulator recovery, mask clearing (partial then full), and emergency ascents. We repeat anything until it feels natural. There's no audience, no pressure, no clock on the wall.
Two real dives. Your pace, your depth.
Then we go diving — twice. The first dive is shallow and relaxed, max 12 m, letting you settle into your buoyancy and get comfortable again. Surface interval on the terrace, quick debrief, then the second dive goes a little deeper and longer. By the end you're not just refreshed — you're diving well. Your instructor stays at your shoulder throughout. No boat schedule, no group to keep up with.
Debrief, logbook stamp, ready for tomorrow.
A proper debrief — what went well, what to watch on the next dive, any tips specific to you. Logbook stamped. You're cleared to join any of our boat trips from the following morning.
No group. No audience. No rush.
The only reason people feel embarrassed about needing a refresher is being watched. That's gone. Your session is entirely private — just you and your instructor in the water. If a skill takes ten minutes to feel right, we spend ten minutes on it. If you nail everything in the first pass, we go diving early. The session is yours.
We've refreshed divers who last dived on their certification ten years ago. We've refreshed instructors coming back from a desk job. Everyone leaves confident. That's the whole point.
Everything. No extras.
- Private 1:1 instructor for the full session
- Shallow-water skills session
- Two guided open-water dives (dive 1 max 12 m, dive 2 max 18 m)
- Full equipment — BCD, regulator, wetsuit, fins, mask
- Tanks and weights
- Logbook stamp on completion
- Hotel pickup on request
Where this takes you.

Straight answers.
How long since I last dived do I need a refresher?
We recommend it if your last dive was more than 12 months ago, or if you feel uncertain about any core skills regardless of the time gap. If you're not sure, message us — we'll ask a few questions and tell you honestly whether you need one.
Do I get a new certification?
No — your certification is permanent. The refresher is a private skills tune-up, not a course. We stamp your logbook to confirm you've completed it, and you continue with your existing certification level.
How long does it take?
Roughly a half-day — around 2.5 to 3 hours including the pre-session chat, gear time, shallow skills, the open-water dive, and debrief. We don't rush it. Some people take a bit longer and that's completely fine.
Can I book a boat trip for the same day?
We recommend doing the refresher the day before your first boat trip so you start the trip day feeling fresh rather than tired. That said, if you arrive early enough and feel good after the session, same-day is possible — just let us know when you book.
What if I feel ready to go deeper or do more dives after?
After the refresher you're cleared for our standard guided day trips (2 dives, up to 30 m on an Open Water cert). If you want to push deeper, the Advanced Open Water course picks up from here — add it to your week for €200.
Is equipment included?
Yes — full equipment (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask, fins) is included in the €99. If you've brought your own gear, bring it along and we'll use yours.
The reef isn't going anywhere. Neither are we.
Tell us your last dive date and we'll sort the rest. No commitment, no deposit — just a conversation.
