DiveRED is a young name. We opened our two Hurghada bases in 2024 under the Azure Diving Club flag, so on paper we are a two-year-old business. On the water it\u2019s different: the people running the boats have been guiding Red Sea dives since 2014, working every reef from Abu Nuhas to Sha\u2019ab El Erg long before the shop existed.
When we finally got to build our own place, we kept one rule above everything else: maximum four students per instructor, often 1:1 or 1:2, same instructor every day of your trip. No upselling. No hidden fees. No rushing a certification to free up a slot.
That\u2019s why we stayed small on purpose. Five full-time instructors, two boats, two bases, and a visitor book full of divers who came back. We\u2019d rather turn a booking away than dilute the week you came here for.
Our founding instructors begin working Red Sea boats full-time, learning every reef between Abu Nuhas and Sha’ab El Erg by name.
Cross-certifying with multiple agencies becomes standard so students can train in the language and system they prefer.
When tourism thinned out, the team stayed on the boats. That’s where a lot of the 10+ years of site knowledge actually comes from.

Born and raised in Hurghada, Ahmed has been guiding divers on these reefs since 2013. He opened DiveRED (by Azure Diving Club) in 2024 with a small team he's worked with for years, and now runs the technical diving program alongside the day-to-day operation. When he's not teaching, he's almost certainly fixing a regulator.
Lena moved to Hurghada from Munich in 2016 with the express intent of never wearing a winter coat again. She is our nervous-beginner whisperer — if you're scared of the deep end of a swimming pool, ask for Lena. She's run Discover Scuba for over 1,500 first-timers and not lost one yet.
Marco came to Hurghada from Sicily with a Nikon and never went back. He runs our photo/video add-on package and shoots more dives in a year than most people log in a lifetime. Take an Advanced course with him and you'll come home with a portfolio.
Yara joined the team in 2020 after finishing her marine biology master's in Alexandria. She runs our marine-life briefings, leads the dugong and turtle dives, and is the reason DiveRED has a serious eco-conscious diving program. Karim is the calm one. The Rescue course at DiveRED is built around his unflappable, scenario-driven teaching style — he's the instructor who can simulate a panicked diver so convincingly you forget it's a drill. Years of teaching and zero panic moments of his own.
