Terms & Conditions
1. About Us
DiveRED is operated by Azure Diving Club, a licensed dive centre based in Hurghada, Egypt. By booking any service with us — including courses, day trips, shore dives, liveaboards, or add-ons — you agree to these terms. References to "we", "us", or "DiveRED" mean Azure Diving Club.
2. Bookings
Bookings are confirmed via WhatsApp or email. A booking is considered confirmed once you receive a written confirmation from us. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any booking at our discretion, in which case any payment received will be refunded in full.
We operate small-group trips and courses. Spaces are limited and are held on a first-come, first-confirmed basis.
3. Medical Fitness
Scuba diving and snorkelling carry inherent risks. Before any in-water activity, all participants must complete the relevant medical questionnaire (RSTC/PADI/SSI standard). If you answer yes to any medical condition, a physician's sign-off is required before diving. We reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone we reasonably believe poses a safety risk to themselves or others, without refund.
Minimum age: 10 years for Bubblemaker, 12 years for Open Water, 8 years for snorkelling. Parental consent is required for all under-18 participants.
4. Safety & Conduct
You agree to follow all safety briefings, instructor instructions, and dive centre rules at all times. Behaviour that endangers yourself or others — including diving under the influence of alcohol or drugs — will result in immediate removal from the activity with no refund.
DiveRED applies a strict no-touch reef policy. Guests who deliberately damage coral or harass marine life may be removed from the water and excluded from future bookings.
5. Equipment
Equipment provided by DiveRED is regularly serviced and inspected. You are responsible for any damage to hired equipment caused by negligence or misuse. You are welcome to use your own equipment; our team will check it before the dive for your safety.
6. Liability
DiveRED carries professional liability insurance and all guests are covered by short-term DAN dive accident cover for the duration of their booking. We are not liable for loss of personal property, pre-existing medical conditions that were not disclosed, or incidents arising from failure to follow instructions. We strongly recommend you hold personal travel insurance that includes scuba diving.
7. Weather & Force Majeure
We reserve the right to change or cancel any trip due to weather, sea conditions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases you will be offered a reschedule or a full refund. We do not accept liability for costs incurred as a result of trip changes outside our control (e.g. flights, hotel nights).
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Hurghada, Egypt.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. The current version is always at dive-red.com/legal. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Refund Policy
Cancellations by You
We understand that plans change. Our policy is designed to be fair while protecting the small team that prepares your trip.

Notice must be sent in writing via WhatsApp or email. The time of our written acknowledgement is the time the cancellation takes effect.
Cancellations Due to Weather or Safety
If we cancel a trip due to weather, sea conditions, or a safety concern, you will receive a full refund or a free reschedule — your choice. We never charge for conditions outside our control.
Medical Cancellations
If you are unable to dive due to a medical reason that was not known at the time of booking, and you can provide a physician's note, we will offer a full reschedule or a 75% refund regardless of notice period.
Liveaboard Bookings
Liveaboard trips are booked through our partner Celesta Liveaboards and are subject to their own cancellation policy, which will be communicated to you at the time of booking. DiveRED-specific add-ons (courses, guiding upgrades) follow our standard policy above.
How Refunds Are Paid
Refunds are paid by the same method as the original payment. Cash refunds are available at our base during opening hours. Bank transfer refunds are processed within 5 working days.
Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
DiveRED (Azure Diving Club), Hurghada, Egypt. Email: [email protected]. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our booking process.
2. What We Collect
We collect only what we need to run your booking:
- Contact details — name, email, phone number, WhatsApp handle.
- Booking information — dates, number of participants, experience level, certification agency and number.
- Medical questionnaire — completed before any in-water activity, held securely and not shared except as required for your safety (e.g. DAN emergency line).
- Payment records — amounts and dates only. We do not store card numbers; payments are handled in person or via bank transfer.
- Website analytics — anonymous page-view data via Cloudflare Analytics. No cookies are used for tracking or advertising.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To confirm and manage your booking.
- To contact you about your trip (changes, reminders, safety information).
- To provide DAN dive accident cover for the duration of your booking.
- To respond to enquiries sent via our contact form or WhatsApp.
We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes.
4. WhatsApp Communications
When you contact us via WhatsApp, your messages are handled by WhatsApp Inc. (Meta Platforms). DiveRED uses WhatsApp solely for booking and customer service communications. We do not add you to group chats or broadcast lists without your consent.
5. Data Retention
Booking and contact records are kept for three years after your last booking for accounting and safety purposes, then deleted. Medical questionnaires are deleted within 12 months of the dive date unless you return for another booking. You may request deletion at any time (see section 7).
6. Data Security
Data is stored on encrypted devices and services. Access is restricted to DiveRED staff who need it to run your booking. We do not transmit personal data over unencrypted channels.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (subject to any legal retention obligations).
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

8. Cookies
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie for security purposes (__cf_bm). No consent banner is displayed because no consent-requiring cookies are used.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The current version is always at dive-red.com/legal#privacy. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
