Founded by divers. Run by divers.
Every trip at DiveRED is led by a full-time professional who knows these reefs by heart. No freelancers, no rotating strangers — the same experienced faces, every day.
The people behind DiveRED.
Ahmed and Lena built this operation from the water up. When you dive with us, at least one of them is on the boat.
Ahmed Rashid
Born and raised in Hurghada, Ahmed has been guiding divers on these reefs since 2013. He opened DiveRED (by Azure Diving Club) in 2024 with a small team he's worked with for years, and now runs the technical diving program alongside the day-to-day operation. When he's not teaching, he's almost certainly fixing a regulator.
Lena Fischer
Lena moved to Hurghada from Munich in 2016 with the express intent of never wearing a winter coat again. She is our nervous-beginner whisperer — if you're scared of the deep end of a swimming pool, ask for Lena. She's run Discover Scuba for over 1,500 first-timers and not lost one yet.
Samy
Samy runs DiveRED's AIDA freediving program. An AIDA 4-star instructor with six years on the line, he teaches the whole ladder — from a first nervous breath-hold to constant-weight depth and the mouthfill that unlocks real diving past 20 metres. His teaching is built on one idea: relaxation beats effort, every time. Calm coaching, small groups, and a lot of patience on the way down.
Behind them: a full bench of Red Sea professionals.
Ahmed and Lena lead every departure, backed by a rotating team of certified PADI, SSI and SDI instructors and divemasters — all long-term Hurghada residents, all specialists on these reefs. Between them they cover twelve languages, every certification level from Open Water to Trimix, and more combined logged dives than we've bothered to count.
You will never be handed off to someone who doesn't know you. Small groups mean your instructor remembers your name, your buoyancy quirks, and your favourite site by day two.
