What to expect
Night diving is one of the most unique experiences in the underwater world. The Red Sea transforms at dusk - nocturnal creatures emerge, bioluminescence appears, and familiar dive sites reveal their hidden nightlife. This is an advanced-only dive on the Excalibur Wreck, descending from 5m to 16m.
Requirements
- Advanced Open Water certification or higher
- Night Diving specialty recommended (not required)
- Minimum 50 logged dives
- Good buoyancy control
Itinerary

Briefing & Equipment Check
Arrive at the boat. Safety briefing on night diving, review of lights and procedures, equipment check, and final questions.

First Night Dive
Descend into the darkness of the Excalibur Wreck. Your dive light reveals nocturnal creatures — lobsters, octopus, and fish that only come out at night.
- 3 20:15
Surface & Rest (optional second dive)
Surface and debrief. If you booked 2 dives, rest briefly, hydrate, and prepare for dive 2. Otherwise, head back to the hotel.

Second Night Dive (optional)
Back down for dive 2. Explore a different area of the wreck or dive the same site at a different depth.
- 5 21:30
Return to Hotel
Surface, secure gear, and cruise back to your hotel. Arrive back by 22:00-22:30 depending on location.

FAQ
Can I do 2 night dives?
Absolutely! We offer 2 night dives for €110 total (€10 extra per dive). This gives you more time to explore the wreck and spot different creatures.
What certifications do I need?
Advanced Open Water or higher required. Night Diving specialty is recommended but not mandatory if you have solid buoyancy and experience.
What time do we depart?
We depart before sunset and return after dark. Exact times vary by season. Typically around 5-8 PM departure.
Is the Excalibur Wreck suitable for night diving?
Yes! The wreck is ideal for night diving - lots of crevices attract nocturnal fish, lobsters, and other creatures. The structure also provides navigation reference points.
What if I get scared?
That's normal! Your guide will stay very close and keep you comfortable. We control the pace and can always ascend if needed.
