Where it is

Location

Just south of Umm Gamar, Shabruhr is a series of coral ergs rising from the sand, with bits of old wreckage scattered between them. It is deeper and quieter than the main island reef, which makes it a good second dive for divers who want a calmer, more exploratory profile — finning erg to erg, peering into cracks for resting morays and lionfish.

What you'll see

  • String of coral ergs over a sandy seabed
  • Scattered small wreckage to explore
