What AIDA 4 — Master Freediver actually involves
AIDA 4 is the highest recreational freediving certification — the gateway to becoming an instructor. Over three to four days you'll polish every aspect of your freediving, push static, dynamic and depth to advanced levels, and master deep rescue from 20 metres, certifying you to freedive to 40 metres.
The last step before instructor
AIDA 4 is where recreational freediving peaks. You'll be diving to 40 metres, holding your breath for over three and a half minutes, and — most importantly — capable of saving another freediver's life from depth. It's a demanding, hugely rewarding course, and the prerequisite for anyone thinking about becoming an AIDA freediving instructor one day.

FAQ
Is AIDA 4 the instructor course?
No — but it's the prerequisite for it. AIDA 4 is the top recreational level. The Instructor course is a separate professional programme that builds on your AIDA 4 certification.
What if I don't have a First Aid/CPR certificate?
No problem — we can arrange a short, recognised First Aid & CPR course locally before your AIDA 4 starts. Just mention it when booking so we can schedule it in.
Will I definitely reach 40 m?
The certification qualifies you to 40 m, with a minimum of 32 m to pass. Reaching the full depth depends on your equalisation and comfort — your instructor builds you up safely and never pushes past your limit.
